Erde & Plastik: Begegungen
Performance | Installation | Research
2023 – 2025
Erde & Plastik: Begegnungen is a site-specific, installative, and performative format that adapts to a wide range of venues—from white cube galleries to unconventional art spaces and outdoor.
The project brings together bodies, materials, and audiences in an open, experimental setting. Using soil (partly artificial), plastic sheeting, and empty earth pots as sculptural and performative elements, it creates a fluid space between exhibition and performance. Movement emerges through the interaction between performers and materials, both in active manipulation and in being acted upon.
The work integrates video pieces from the early research phase in 2022, textual fragments, and live performance—solo or in collaboration with a musician and one to two dancers/performers. Modular in structure, the performance can unfold in different constellations, leaving physical traces that may remain on site as an installation, accompanied by video excerpts and insights into the creative process.
Through material-based interaction and choreography, the project reflects on the literal and metaphorical groundlessness of our time, and on the growing sense of detachment in contemporary life.
